TakaraTomy continue their Transformers United toy line with these two exclusive figures released at the 2011 Tokyo Toy Show.

Both figures were made popular by the War For Cybertron computer game along with their excellent attention to detail, complex transformation sequences and general poseability.

This time Optimus gets a re-deco to the darkside, as a possible Cybertronian Nemesis Prime, sporting Decepticon symbols and black paint styling. Transforming from robot mode to Cybertronian armored truck he comes equipped with a transformable rifle which can be attached and stored in both vehicle and robot mode.

Megatron also receives the darkside treatment with an equally impressive re-deco, no doubt the after effects of too much dark energon. Transforming into a Cybertronian armored tank his treads can be positioned so that he also resembles a hover tank. He comes armed with a spring loaded cannon that fires a single missile which can be attached to either arm.

As is characteristic of the United toy line both figures feature applications of metallic paint. These figures come packaged as a twin pack in a high quality box with stylized black and white glossy artwork. Highly exclusive this box set was only available at the 2011 Tokyo Toy Show.
